Musk has previously said that Tesla cars are “getting more expensive” due to their self-driving potential and that prices for the FSD package will increase. Although the package price dropped from $15,000 to $12,000 last year, subscription costs remained high.
Tesla now appears to be prioritizing increasing the number of FSD users. This aggressive price cut comes after mandatory FSD test drives for new vehicles and a one-month free trial for existing owners in North America.
With this “aggressive” pricing, Tesla could even reach 1 million subscribers in the coming months.
