He emphasized the importance of creating a compact, reliable and long-term source of nuclear energy on the Moon as an important step in this direction.

Earlier, Yuri Borisov announced plans to deliver a joint nuclear power plant to the Moon in 2033-2034 against the backdrop of a youth festival. He also emphasized that the technological aspect of this project has been almost completely resolved and that studies on the Moon will be carried out using robotic systems.
