The digital ecosystem for university students “Campus” attracted investments in convertible loan format as part of a financing exchange round. The amount of the investment is not disclosed, a representative of the international investment organization Investoro, which was one of the investors, told RB.RU.
Other investors also participated in the round, including the founder of the Infourok educational project, Igor Zhaborovsky.
“This bridge round of financing is an intermediate step towards the large round that awaits us this year and the validation of investors whose portfolios already have successful educational platforms,” said Campus CEO Kirill Laskin.
In October 2023, Campus raised 10 million rubles as part of the Skolkovo Investor Day. With this money, the startup purchased an app to create an ecosystem and organic traffic, launched an MVP, and expanded its line of courses.
Campus plans to use the funds currently raised to close the deal to acquire a mobile app, increase users and revenue, and create a new monetization model.
“Campus” is an ecosystem for the convenience of students: it helps them view class schedules, faculty analysis, events and internships, discounts and student programs.
According to the company’s own data, the Campus application is used by more than 200 thousand students from 55 universities every month. The app is free and is monetized through the sale of courses, advertising integrations, and the sale of a multifunctional platform to universities.
According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the main founder of Matklab LLC is its general director Kirill Laskin with an 81% stake.
