Avito launched the purchase of tablets to its users. Previously, smartphones could only be sold to site partners. This was reported to RB.RU by the service’s press service. At the same time, the company reported that it was not willing to disclose the unit economics of the business.

Initially, only Apple devices are eligible for trade-in; In the future, the program may be expanded to other popular brands;
The scheme is as follows: a user publishes an advertisement for the sale of a tablet, Avito sends him an offer to purchase the device. If you accept the preliminary purchase price, which is immediately visible, the device owner will be able to choose the delivery method to the platform partner.
According to a service representative, you can take the tablet yourself to the exchange point or call an employee at your home or other convenient meeting place. The devices will immediately check offline and transfer the payment.
Currently, 25 partners from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Voronezh, Astrakhan, Kazan, Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Tyumen, Perm, Samara and Ufa are participating in the tablet buyback program. The service is available only in the Avito application and desktop.
Avito will then resell the purchased devices. Before this, the platform partners will carry out pre-sale preparation of the devices: they will check them, diagnose and repair them and eliminate defects, if any.
In the future, the company could start purchasing other categories of equipment, from smart watches to laptops, the company’s press service reported.
