The American robot manufacturer Boston Dynamics presented the Atlas model of a new generation of humanoid robots. The company published a video introducing the robot on YouTube.

Unlike the previous model of Atlas robots, which were equipped with hydraulic drives, the new generation is powered by electric motors. Thanks to this, the robot’s capabilities have expanded: the limbs have become more mobile, and the manipulators have begun to perform new grips.

The new Atlas robot will be tested with several clients, including Hyundai, which invested in the project. Hyundai bought 80% of Boston Dynamics in 2021 for $1.1 billion.
