Bandai Namco has officially announced Sword Art Online: Final Reconnection, the new chapter in the series for PC, PS4, PS5 and Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement was accompanied by a trailer which you will find below and which shows that the game will be available in the course of 2023.
Sword Art Online: Last Memory will tell an original story that differs from the events of the original Sword Art Online anime. The game follows Kirito as he prepares for a never-before-seen challenge and will feature several new characters.
The gate to the Dark Territory is wide open, ready to unleash all its terror on the human realm, when a mysterious Dark Knight named Dorothy arrives with a mission for Kirito and his friends. So they will have to fight again to protect this world.
Players’ favorite characters are back, taking an unpredictable turn from the War of the Underworld arc chronicled in the anime and novel. Sword Art Online: Last Recollect maintains its famous JRPG style and increases the speed of action, providing smoother coordination when playing with friends.
Sword Art Online: Last Recollection can be completed individually or in multiplayer, with up to four players. Bandai Namco will reveal new details about characters and gameplay in the coming months.
