The following motherboard models participated in the tests: MSI Pro B650M-P, MSI Pro B650M-B, Asrock B650M Pro RS, Asrock B650M PG Lightning, Asrock B650M-H/M.2+, Gigabyte B650M Gaming Wi-Fi, Gigabyte B650M C V2, Gigabyte B650M K, Gigabyte B650M D3HP, Gigabyte B650 Aorus Elite AX, etc. Along with the motherboard, the assembly included a Mid Tower case and an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor.
The best motherboard in terms of quality and price ratio can be called Asrock B650M-HDV/M.2. During the stress test, the clock speed exceeded 5.1 MHz under a 200 W load. In other words, this is the benchmark for budget B650M motherboards.
However, the new models MSI Pro B650M-P, MSI Pro B650M-B failed the temperature test. Both motherboards were operating at temperatures above 90 degrees and were limited to only 90W (MSI Pro B650M-B) and 135W (MSI Pro B650M-P). Compared to the MSI Pro B650M-P, they were 20% and 10% slower respectively.
Gigabyte B650M Gaming Wi-Fi also gave terrible results. After an hour of load, its power dropped to 100 W. This model also received only 1384 points. Compared to this, Gigabyte B650M DS3H has almost 60% higher performance. Gigabyte B650M D3HP, Asus Prime B650-Plus, Gigabyte B650M K also performed poorly.
The worst B650M motherboard was the Gigabyte B650M C V2. Its average frequency was less than 3 MHz and the result was only 1120 points.
