Russian companies have begun to warn users about prohibiting the authorization of their Internet resources through foreign services such as Apple ID and Google ID. This was reported by RBC in reference to the companies.
Ozon has already blocked this opportunity for users. The market noted that they did not have authorization through Google ID and that less than 1% of customers used Apple ID.
Liters will introduce restrictions on authorization from April 22. If there is no other authorization method linked to the account, access to it can only be maintained by contacting support, the company warned.
So far, VK Play only warns users about the imminent introduction of a ban and does not provide exact dates. The company complies with the requirements of current legislation, VK Play noted.
On July 31, the law restricting the possibility of authorization of Russian Internet resources through foreign services was signed. The introduction of such a ban through foreign postal services has been postponed until January 1, 2025.
