The iPhone accounted for 33% of all smartphone activations in the US in the first quarter of 2024, reports analytics company CIRP. This is Apple’s lowest figure since 2017.
This also means that 2/3 of new smartphones activated in the US run Android.
Similar statistics also report on smartphone sales in America. CIRP says users are buying less iPhones due to the decoupling of new features.
