Drawing parallels with the automotive industry, NVIDIA’s president emphasized the potential of robots created to perform specific tasks.

Huang argues that robots can make workplaces more efficient and safer by performing dangerous, repetitive or tedious tasks.

Huang’s vision is shared by Tesla CEO Elon Musk. He noted that the production cost of the humanoid robot Optimus is only half the cost of Tesla’s electric vehicles.

According to Musk, the starting price of Optimus will vary between 25-30 thousand dollars, and this price is expected to decrease over time.

Let’s recall that NVIDIA previously announced the large-scale Project GR00T model for humanoid robots and introduced a powerful Jetson Thor computer created specifically for such systems.
