Error in the latest version of WhatsApp prevents users from uploading videos to the application Android. The issue appears to occur during media processing and does not interfere with photos or audio, only videos.

The issue has been reported by users on many social networks, including Reddit, but it is impossible to determine its true scope. When this happens, the error interrupts the video upload process, whether it is a video saved from the gallery (saved by the camera or downloaded by an app) or a video recorded with the WhatsApp camera.

According to the website, The problem does not affect videos received on WhatsApp, it is then possible to download the videos taken during the conversations. Moreover, routing works normallyregardless of format.

The version affected by the bug was determined to be version 2.24.9.34 of WhatsApp for Android. The build is being rolled out gradually but is widely available to testers running WhatsApp Beta.

Workaround

HE TecMundo Tested sending videos on WhatsApp version 2.24.8.85 on Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. Loading, processing and sending of media occurred normally.

Therefore, one of the alternatives to fix the problem is to roll back the messenger to the old version. If you’re a WhatsApp Beta tester, this means giving up on the trials and going back to the stable app.
