The photo shows significant design changes. The most striking thing is the new camera layout of the base iPhone 16 and 16 Plus.
Modules are now arranged vertically instead of diagonally like on the iPhone 15. This is said to be due to the introduction of spatial video recording support to work on the Apple Vision Pro augmented reality helmet.
The changes also affected the screen sizes of the Pro versions. The iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a 6.9-inch display, making it the largest Pro Max to date (upgraded from 6.7 inches). The iPhone 16 Pro will also grow slightly – from 6.1 inches to 6.3 inches.
The standard iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will retain diagonals of 6.1 and 6.7 inches, respectively.
The photo does not show a separate “Capture” button for camera controls, as rumored.
Let us also remind you that traditionally the introduction of new iPhones is expected in September.
