A message about the expansion of the sanctions list was posted on the department’s website. According to the document, the restrictions against Pobeda are justified by the company’s activities “in the sector of the Russian economy intended to support the military-industrial base.”
The supply of goods and services for the Russian low-cost airline may continue until July 30 of this year.
In total, nearly 300 organizations and individuals were included on the list. The US Treasury placed restrictions on about 200 of them, and more than 80 others on the list fell under State Department sanctions.
Restrictions were also introduced against Gazprom structures: Neftegazstroy LLC and VNIPIgazdobycha PJSC. In addition, several structures of the Sibantracita group were subject to sanctions.
The updated list includes the Ural Automobile Plant and its general director Pavel Yakovlev, several factories producing agricultural and other equipment, as well as the Astra group of companies, developer of the Astra Linux operating system.
In addition to Russian organizations, the new sanctions package includes companies from Azerbaijan, Belgium, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Slovakia. The Ministry of Finance explained the restrictions imposed against them as attempts to help Russia evade sanctions.
