Social network X, formerly known as Twitter Access to Grok artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot available for Brazilian users this week. The vehicle was first launched in December 2023 after going through a testing period.
Grok came in response to OpenAI’s already consolidated ChatGPT. It was born from billionaire Elon Musk’s new company xAI, which focuses on artificial intelligence-based research and development.
One of Grok’s differences that Musk has mentioned in the past was that it gave “humorous answers” to users’ questions. It is based on information obtained in real time through the social network.which the entrepreneur sees as “a huge advantage compared to other models” [de linguagem]”.
But ChatGPT itself, unlike competitors like Google Bard and Microsoft Copilot, Grok is only available to paid users of the platform. Subscription to X’s Premium and Premium+ plans can cost R$ 60 and R$ 90 per month respectively, and it is also possible to subscribe to annual plans at a discount.
Grok is available in the app and on the web
To access the tool, the user just needs to check the bottom bar in the X app for Android and iOS. The tool icon is located in the middle icon. In the web version, the icon is located in the sidebar.
Social network users noticed that Grok has been available in Brazil since last Tuesday (7). There is no confirmation yet that it will be released to general users who are not subscribed to the platform. On the other hand, Musk also underlined that the company plans to make the tool open source.
