Apple has already released the iOS 16.4 update that includes Sound Isolation to improve the sound of phone calls. This feature allows you to make conversations clearer and more understandable by isolating your voice from background noise.

To enable Sound Isolation, you need to follow a few simple steps during a call: swipe up, open Control Center, select microphone mode and enable Sound Isolation. This will make it easier for you to talk by reducing the impact of background noise, such as a barking dog or construction noise.

Additionally, there is another feature called Wide Spectrum that enhances background sounds without altering your voice. While it’s currently only available for FaceTime, it could also be used for phone calls in the future, providing clearer audio for everyone on the call.
