A couple from Canoas (RS) has launched an AI-based platform that makes it possible to “match” pets and their owners lost during floods in the state. The goal of the system is to combine all information from guardians and shelters in the area to facilitate meetings between pets and their owners.
Nearly 10,000 pets were rescued during flooding in Rio Grande do Sul, and another 10,000 may be found in the coming days. The problem after rescues is the number of lost pets distributed in many shelters and the number of adopters looking for them but not knowing exactly where to look for them.
Created by Gustavo Furtado, the platform uses Monday.com’s software, which acts as a database. While Pix Force company provided the artificial intelligence model, A-Players and Zeno Junior teams also provided support in creating the basis for centralizing all information.
According to Furtado, Instagram pages have been created at all shelters with rescued pets, but there are so many pages that it makes searching difficult. Therefore, all databases in all flood-affected cities need to be integrated into the system.
How does the AI platform work to find pets?
When you enter the platform page, there is a link for the owner to register his lost pet, using quality photos and filling in the fields regarding the characteristics of the animal, as well as adding a contact WhatsApp. The other link is to register animals in shelters, provide the same data and add quality photos.
Crossing this data during the search allows matches to be made between owners and their respective animals. Currently the AI is already working and its effectiveness has been proven from the first match reported by Gustavo.
How to register on the platform?
If you are an animal guardian and looking for a lost animal, sign up by clicking here. If you are part of a rescue animal shelter, you can let us know who they are via email at gustavo.furtado@a-players.io or WhatsApp (51) 99205-5082.
Gustavo’s wife, Jéssica Phoenix, underlines the urgent importance of publicizing the platform, which will allow her to combine data on missing animals and their owners.
