At the end of 2024, Huawei presented a new line of Pura 70 smartphones for the Chinese market, and now three new products, Pura 70, Pura 70 Pro and Pura 70 Ultra, have officially arrived in Russia.
These devices are the next generation of Huawei P60, only now with a new meaning in the name. The company rebranded and chose the word Pura (translated from Spanish as purity) to ensure a sleek design of the device.
In addition to the name change, quite a lot of innovations were introduced into the device. In short, then All Pura 70 models have Huawei’s own scratch-proof glass, a small processor, a comfortable shell, an excellent camera, and amazing stereo sound..

Conclusion and conclusions
While everyone is admiring the sophisticated Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, I want to talk about unusual models without any prefixes. about And ultra. That the majority of limited users have more than enough capabilities of this particular smartphone, and it costs half as much as its older flagship brother.
Let’s look at the Huawei Pura 70 carefully and from all sides:
1. Design and equipment
There is a powerful charger, a cable and a plastic case. Everything you need is included right away.
Huawei is one of the last companies that does not upset the set of accessories in the box with devices. In particular, included with the Pura 70 you can find a 66 W charging block with a USB to USB-C fast charging cable and a transparent plastic case that does not hide the design and color of the smartphone itself.
The smartphone itself has a classic rectangular design and fits in the hand. The side frames are polished aluminum in the color of the body, the front and back are protected by second-generation Kunlun Glas glass, which, according to performance, is 100% stronger than the first generation.
Despite this, the screen still has a protective film on it straight out of the box.
The lighting and power adjustment buttons are located on the right edge of the device. The SIM card tray can be found next to the speaker openings and the USB-C charging port (USB 3.1 Gen 1).

The camera block in the proprietary “triangle” is fixed on the rear panel. Personally, I like this design, it looks fresh and stands out from other Android smartphones with the usual square lens arrangement. Plus, it resembles the icon indicating “Play” on any remote control for household appliances.
The hint of forward movement is taken into account.
Huawei Pura 70 is available in three colors: black, white and pink. I got the pink one, which, although it doesn’t look masculine, looks much more impressive in the light than the other two. A very memorable and beautiful recount of the results.
The most beautiful color in the Pura 70 line.
Dimensions of Huawei Pura 70:
Height – 157.6 mm
Width – 74.3 mm
Thickness – 7.95 mm
Weight – 207 grams
It remains to add that the screen only in the mock-up model does not have curved edges, remaining absolutely in English. So if you don’t like “waterfall“, Pura 70 is automatically your choice.

2. Screen and sound
The screen is juicy and unforgettable, almost frameless.
Huawei Pura 70 is equipped with 6.6-inch LTPO OLED screen with change range from 1 to 120 Hz and peak brightness at 2500 nits. The sample density is 460 pixels per inchthere is also PWM dimming 1440 Hzand the degree of difficulty is 300 Hz.
This screen takes up 89.8% The front of the device, the frame is quite thin. Reading information is visually pleasant; the eyes do not get tired even during long sessions.

In the settings you can change the color mode and temperature, enable or disable Always on Display, filter blue light and other parameters.
The sound of the Huawei Pura 70 is impressive: the stereo speakers produce loud and clear sound, and this is without Dolby Atmos support. However, immediately when you turn it on, you can hear a short mulody, which seems voluminous and makes a pleasant impression.

3. Filling and performance
It’s a pleasure to watch a graphics test run on such a screen.
Huawei traditionally does not advertise the processor model, but the application shows the presence of the Kirin 9000S1, made using 7nm technology and with working performance. 2.49 GHz. The Maleoon 910 operating at the frequency is responsible for the schedule 750 MHz.
Other older Pura 70 models have a different Kirin 9010 processor, which seems to be more productive. However, during testing of the basic Pura 70, no lags or stutters were noticed on the device; it copes well with all daily tasks and applications without heating up the body too much.
If you value synthetic tests, here they are below.
It seems that the numbers are too small, but nowadays it is better to trust your feelings and impressions. Therefore, I say with confidence that I have never even seen micro-lags, not to mention more serious evidence of the weakness of the filling.
RAM in the base Pura 70 12 GBstorage capacity 256 GB. Flash drives are not provided, but it is possible to use cloud storage to upload photos and videos, so 256 GB is enough for the average user.
After joining from the US, Huawei lost the ability to use Snapdragon broadband chips and 5G modems from Qualcomm. So now the filling is strictly Chinese made.
This leads to the unexpected incidentssuch as, for example, the inability to install on the popular race Pura 70 CarX Street: when you download this game, you will see that the application cannot be run on this hardware.
But this is a rather small fly in the ointment, because all other modern resource-intensive games are running great.

4. Shell and software features
This is what the EMUI 14.2 window looks like
As an operating system in the global version, Pura 70 supports EMUI 14.2, unlike Harmony OS 4.2, which is intended only for Chinese devices.
The shell runs smoothly and has a small app store, Huawei App Gallery, where you can even find banking apps that have been removed from other popular digital stores.
If you desperately need Google services, everything can be easily configured through the Gbox application, which is already present on the Pure 70 out of the box.

In general, do not be alarmed by the lack of a deep revolution from Google in the Pura 70 operating system. The only thing that was slightly surprising was the abundance of pre-installed application shortcuts, which, according to Huawei, are absolutely necessary for every user.
Among them are both Pure dating, which is all right, and several applications from microcredit organizations and online casinos, which I would not save, much less use.
Dating in the Social Networks application and microcredit organizations in the Business application. Well, that’s it.
It’s good that all this garbage can be easily removed and forgotten like a bad dream.
Overall, EMUI 14.2 has a nice look and many features that help you use your smartphone faster and more conveniently. I like such features as simultaneously opening several applications on the screen, the ability to minimize a program into a small shortcut for quick access to it, and other similar features.

5. Cameras and photo examples
These cameras are amazing. Look further.
Cameras are one of the main features of the Pura 70 line of smartphones. Moreover, in all three models they differ slightly in characteristics, but they take photographs equally well in automatic modes.
If the manufacturer previously entered into a partnership with the German Leica, then in this country (again due to American sanctions) Huawei uses its own brand XMAGE.
There is also optical stabilization and a laser autofocus system.
In addition to the main module, there is additionally an ultra-wide-angle and telephoto periscope camera.
So, the basic Huawei Pura 70 has:
▪️ Main camera – 50 MPf/1.4-4.0, 25 mm, 1/1.3″, PDAF, laser autofocus, OIS
▪️ Telephoto lens – 12 MPf/3.4, 125 mm
▪️ Ultra wide angle lens – 13 MPf/2.2
▪️ Front camera – 13 MPf/2.4 (ultra-wide angle)
In the “quick point and shoot” mode, the main camera works very quickly, the pictures are clear and without blur. There are several zoom options – 2x, 5x and 10x.
An example of shooting with all zooms, including ultra-wide, from one point:

Separately, I would like to note the camera’s performance with objects in motion. Powerful hardware in tandem with software algorithms literally work wonders.
As an example, I took one of the positions, studying the metro and photographing the train arriving at the platform. Its speed at the time of shooting is approximately 60-50 km/h, plus rather weak lighting.
Just look at how the Huawei Pura 70 coped with corpses, in my opinion it’s perfect.
An example of shooting a fast-moving train from one point:

Let me remind you that at the time of shooting, the cars are moving quite quickly, and not a single smartphone that I tested could photograph this object without blurring.
And if the last photo of the train, which clearly shows the passengers inside, didn’t impress you, then the next couple of photos look surprisingly large with the Pura 70 camera.
Example of shooting a fountain:

The Pura 70 was able to literally capture the texture of falling water. This is really cool.
As for other modes, everything is fine there too.
Here is an example of macro photography:
Shooting crazy and with 5x:

Photo with 3x zoom:
Example of a night photo:
It is clear that for those who like to play with the settings there is a professional mode.
You can also select other connections such as Panorama, Manual Iris, Super Macro, Panorama, Light (for light streak effect) and so on.
As a result, I would like to note that I was really impressed with the camera of the base Pura 70. I’m looking forward to trying out the flagship model, which shoots even better.
I especially liked the action shots. I could not achieve such results with any smartphone.

6. Conclusion and conclusions
An excellent smartphone for the money.
Without exaggeration, I can say that the Huawei Pura 70 was the first smartphone in many years that I wanted to use as my main one. Fresh design elements, ergonomics, operating speed, super-fast charging and many other features in the settings make this device convenient and convenient in many cases.
Take, for example, the reverse charging feature, which allows you to charge other gadgets simply by placing them on the back of the Pura 70.
Pros, brief:
👉 unforgettable and juicy screen
👉 loud and rich sound
👉 fast fingerprint scanner button under the display
👉 great cameras and many shooting modes
👉 capacious battery 4900 mAh
👉 EMUI 14.2 console
Of the minuses, I can note the lack of 5G support (but this is not particularly relevant to us), as well as the inability to use virtual eSIM. Whether this is critical is up to you to decide.
With interest in this smartphone, which appeared despite the enormous pressure on the side of China from the United States. Despite many bans, Huawei managed not only to release another smartphone, but to make it better.
You can already pre-order:
💰 Huawei Pura 70 (12+256 GB) for 69,999 rubles
💰 Huawei Pura 70 Pro (12+512 GB) for 89,999 rubles
💰 Huawei Pura 70 Ultra (16+512 GB) for 129,999 rubles
I am sure that the Pura 70 will successfully compete with other devices in its price segment and will find its fans thanks to its wide camera capabilities, at a minimum.
