Alfa Bank increased its net profit under IFRS by 5%. According to the results Yo in the 2024 quarter it amounted to 40 billion rubles, the press service of the credit institution reported.

Alfa Bank’s quarterly net profit according to the RAS is 8.5 billion rubles, 3.2 times less than the figures for the first quarter of 2023.
As the bank explained, the difference in the reports is due to differences in the standards of their preparation, Russian and international.
Since the beginning of the year, the number of new customers has grown by more than 1 million and the total number has exceeded 31 million customers.
Net interest income increased 45% year-on-year. The main driver was credit growth in all business areas.
The retail loan portfolio also showed growth: 44% year-on-year. The bank increased its loan portfolio to legal entities by 49% compared to the first quarter of 2023.
In early April, the Russian Ministry of Finance initiated the procedure for the forced reregistration of Alfa-Bank and AlfaStrakhovanie in the Russian Federation.
