OpenAI co-founder Ilya Sutskever is leaving his role as chief scientist at developer ChatGPT. He worked at the company for almost ten years.

OpenAI boss Sam Altman called Sutzkever “one of the brightest minds” of his generation. His place will be taken by Jakub Paczocki, who was previously director of scientific research.
Before OpenAI, Ilya Sutskever worked at Google for almost three years. He was born in Nizhny Novgorod, grew up in Israel and then emigrated to Canada.
