Following a warning from the Federal Antimonopoly Service, the Wildberries market has improved the working conditions of sellers, the company said in a statement. In particular, the amount of some deductions has been reduced and the liability of sellers for various violations has been more clearly described.

Wildberries changed offer after FAS requirements

In April, the service conducted an inspection and found more than one violation of antitrust laws in Wildberries’ offering. For example, FAS specialists considered that some clauses in the offer imposed unfavorable conditions for cooperation.

In addition, the service considered the amount of fines that Wildberries imposes on sellers in case of hacking of their personal account by third parties to be disproportionate. After analyzing these and other violations, the FAS issued a warning to the market demanding that the offer change.

As can be seen from Wildberries’ message, the company took into account the regulator’s comments and made adjustments to the offer.

Changes to the Wildberries offer:

  • Fixed prices have been introduced for the storage of goods in warehouses. Sellers can now permanently set the merchandise storage rate: the rate that was in effect at the time of planning a specific delivery will remain unchanged;
  • The cost of logistics from the warehouse to the delivery point may be fixed for a period of 90 days for clothing, shoes, children’s items and accessories and some other categories and 60 days for other products;
  • The item “for other violations” was excluded from the list of deductions. The market outlined in detail the violations for which sellers will be fined. The offer also stipulated the rules for blocking a partner’s personal account and described the algorithm for restoring it;
  • Signs of dishonest behavior of partners are formulated, a list of situations in which a company can unilaterally refuse to fulfill a contract is set;
  • Marketplace has added to the offer a detailed description of the procedure for accepting and sorting products from partners working under the “From Wildberries Warehouse” and “Marketplace” sales models. For example, merchandise acceptance time under the Marketplace model is determined by when the barcode is read during door acceptance, not by when each item is scanned during sorting. The company was also responsible in case of violations during the acceptance of the goods.

In early May, Wildberries allowed its partner delivery points to challenge low ratings for their work.
