Tests conducted by Dell showed that the Snapdragon X is superior in terms of battery efficiency. Video playback is estimated to be 68% to 98% faster than Intel Alder Lake-P processors and provides up to 29.6 hours of battery life (FHD+ display). That’s more than the Intel model’s 15.45 hours. At higher resolutions (QHD+), the Snapdragon laptop clocks in at 21.9 hours, while the Intel clocks in at 11.02 hours.
Such significant benefits benefit Dell financially. According to reports, the price of the Snapdragon X is half that of the Intel Core i7-1360P: $293 versus $145. These savings allow Dell to offer a more competitive starting price of $1,199 for the Snapdragon-equipped XPS 13 Plus with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
