Losing or having your cell phone stolen can be stressful. However, fortunately, there are a few steps you can take to try to find and protect your Galaxy device if this happens. Next we will tell you about the tools you can use find a lost or stolen Samsung cell phone.

How to Find Your Samsung Mobile Phone Using Google’s Find My Device Feature

If you’ve linked your Samsung phone to your Google account, you can use the Find My Device feature to try to find it. It not only allows you to find your lost Android phone, but also lock it or delete its contents.

Here’s how you can track the location of your lost Samsung phone using Find My Device on the Internet:

Step 1: Visit the Google Find My Device website on your computer or other phone.

Step 2: Sign in with the same Google account you had on your lost or stolen phone.

Step 3: Select your lost device from the list on the left. A map of your last known location will appear, along with the option to protect your device or perform a factory reset.

The Find My Device tool will also show you when your phone was last active. If your phone is turned off, you’ll only be able to see its last recorded location before you log out of Google. This can be useful if you just lost your phone. However, if someone finds it and turns it on, you can easily find, lock, or restore it to factory settings using Find My Device.

How to Find Your Samsung Mobile Phone Using Samsung SmartThings Find

In addition to Google’s Find My Device feature, Samsung phones come with their own tracking feature called SmartThings Find. It allows you to remotely locate, lock and erase data on your mobile phone.

The Samsung phone finder tool works offline on almost all mid-range and premium Galaxy devices. You just need to make sure that you are signed into your Samsung account on the device and have enabled this feature beforehand.

Follow these steps to find your Samsung mobile phone using SmartThings Find:

Step 1: Open the SmartThings Find website on your computer or other device and sign in using the Samsung account associated with your lost phone.

Step 2: Select your lost Galaxy phone from the left sidebar.

Step 3: SmartThings Find will show you the last known location of your lost Samsung cell phone.

Remember that if the device was turned off, offline search will only work for a few hours after that. If you can see your phone’s location, use the option Track location on SmartThings Find to receive your location every 15 minutes.

You can check if offline phone search is enabled on your Galaxy phone by going to Settings > Security and privacy > Find my mobile phone > Offline search.

Tracking a stolen or lost Samsung phone is difficult. But if you use the methods above, you will have a better chance of finding your device.
