MTS, together with the Higher School of Economics (HSE), is conducting a study of the innovative maturity of Russian companies, the results of which will be presented to the scientific and business community by the end of 2024. This was announced at the True Tech Day IT conference.
As part of the study, a unique methodology will be developed to evaluate companies based on dozens of objective indicators, on the basis of which an aggregate innovativeness index will be formed. It is planned to cover indicators, international development, application of technology, education systems and the use of knowledge in various business areas.
In the modern economy, competition for markets and technologies is sharply intensifying. Under these conditions, innovative activity becomes the only factor that determines the long-term competitiveness of a business, and often its survival.
The key to success here is not the one-time introduction of new innovations, but the ability for systematic, sustainable innovation, covering modernization and implementation of technological innovations, digital transformation of business, development of new business models and marketing tools, and advanced training of personnel. A special role in this process belongs to digital companies – innovative by nature, “from birth”.
Therefore, our joint idea with MTS to launch a study of the innovative grain of companies, based on a proven and internationally recognized methodology, seems very relevant. As a result, being a business navigator, government officials assess its strengths and weaknesses and adjust the strategy in a timely manner.
— Leonid Gokhberg, first vice-rector of the National Research University Higher School of Economics
The methodology formed as part of the study of innovation maturity allows companies to assess the level of digitalization based on the factors of a multi-stage system, identify bottlenecks and improve management practices. Thus, we offer the market a unified tool that will help companies and organizations accelerate digital transformation processes and increase business productivity.
– Pavel Voronin, First Vice President of MTS Technologies
By analyzing the activities of companies from the point of view of innovative efficiency, it will be possible to quickly make decisions on investments in IT areas, as well as choose the vector of business development. In the future, the index plans to scale up internationally.
