According to him, production of the panels will begin in the coming weeks and the largest production volume will come from models with smaller screens.
Apple’s suppliers will produce the screens and ship them to factories for assembly of finished iPhone 16 models.
The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are expected to be released in September, when the company’s new smartphones are traditionally released.
Externally, the new elements will be similar to the iPhone 15 models, but Apple will increase the size of the screens for the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
That is, the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 6.3-inch screen instead of 6.1 inches, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max will have a 6.9-inch screen instead of 6.7 inches.
The screen sizes of the standard iPhone 16 models will not change: the iPhone 16 will remain 6.1 inches diagonally, while the iPhone 16 Plus will remain 6.7 inches.
Other features added to the iPhone 16 include a new Capture button for shooting in landscape mode, faster A-series chips, camera upgrades, as well as Wi-Fi 7 support and faster 5G modems on some models.
