The key to this improvement is a 50% increase in the speed at which phones enter power saving mode. According to Dave Burke, vice president of Android platform engineering, this setting increases the device’s standby time.

The update is not limited to smartphones only. All devices receiving Android 15 will be able to benefit from these improvements. This improvement is part of a broader set of optimizations that also includes new features such as Personal Space, App Pairs, and improved theft detection services.
