Recalling past events, Shen stated that during Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan in August 2022, hackers manipulated digital signs in grocery stores and a train station to display anti-Pelosi messages.
Shen, founder of Quma Academy, which provides training to the public on civil defense, emphasized the importance of strengthening cybersecurity to protect against potential disinformation and cyber attacks. He warned against possible fake videos aimed at “discrediting the new president.”
Other Taiwanese politicians echoed these concerns, emphasizing the need to protect Taiwan’s information space.
