He also published a photograph of the businessman, which shows that the billionaire has changed a lot due to his illness.

“In December, doctors gave the Krasnodar owner a disappointing diagnosis: six months to live. All this time he was undergoing chemotherapy, which greatly affects the body,” says the journalist.

Galitsky organized two foundations, one of which will deal with the affairs of the football club, and the second – the Krasnodar Academy. His daughter Polina will supervise matters related to the operation of the club.

Galitsky first spoke about his health problems in the fall of 2021.

“That’s life: you don’t always own your destiny,” he said.

Currently, the billionaire is ranked 41st on the list of the richest Russians according to Forbes and his fortune is estimated at $3.3 billion.

The residents of Krasnodar also thank the businessman for the huge park he created near the stadium of the same name. Although it is officially called “Krasnodar”, it is popularly called Galitsky Park. It has become the city’s business card and a place where thousands of citizens and guests of the city relax every day.

Previously, we wrote about how Russians named entrepreneurs who inspired them to launch their business. Among them is Sergei Galitsky.
