This result is 0.075 seconds faster than the previous record set by the MIT robot.

The robot, called TOKUFASTbot, uses high-speed servos and color recognition algorithms to achieve this speed. Its ability to make 90-degree turns in 0.009 seconds allows it to solve the cube quickly.

While developing the robot, the engineering team encountered problems such as the cube freezing due to high speed.

After several attempts and modifications, the robot successfully solved the cube in an official demonstration and received a certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records.

Mitsubishi Electric representative Yuji Yoshimura stated that the record demonstrated the company’s technical capabilities. He said he hopes the success will draw attention to the company’s innovative products and their potential to improve the world.
