Xilence wants to bring style and cooling to an M.2 drive with the new Performance A+ M2 SSD Cooler. The heatsink is said to keep the temperature of an SSD drive low, adding RGB capabilities to this often bare PC component. The suggested retail price of Xilence’s passive M.2 cooler is 15 Euros. The product is currently available and is only compatible with M.2 drives in the 2280 form factor.

According to the brand, a higher temperature can be bad for the durability of an SSD drive. It is unknown how many degrees the cooler can lower the temperature of an M.2. The total package consists of an iron mounting plate, a heat-conducting silicon strip on both sides of the M.2 disk, and an RGB heatsink on the top. The idea is that the SSD gives more heat to the lanes than the air that normally surrounds an M.2 drive.
