Apple will release iOS 17.6, iPadOS 17.6, macOS 14.6, watchOS 10.6 and tvOS 17.6 “in mid-2024,” Appleinsider writes, citing Matter 1.3 code.

Matter is a standard connection designed to allow smart home devices from different manufacturers to communicate with each other on different operating systems.

According to the code, Apple plans to add new types of smart devices to support operating systems, including robot vacuum cleaners, water valves and devices for detailed air quality analysis.

Apple has not yet released the first beta versions of the new system. They are expected to be released before WWDC on June 10th. [Appleinsider]
