Traditional blood analyzers are bulky and expensive. The new development uses a microfluidic chip that controls blood flow through rotation. This approach makes it possible to perform complex tests, such as tumor markers, using only 5 μl of blood (this amount can be obtained even from a finger).

The main advantage of the new technology is its simplicity and low cost. The chip is produced via mass production and analysis is initiated by simple rotation.

Researchers are confident that in the future, such mini-labs-on-a-chip can be installed not only in hospitals, but also in pharmacies and perhaps even in homes. This will allow people to receive test results faster and improve their quality of life.
