New gaming laptops Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 and Predator Helios Neo 18 have appeared in Russia.
The gadgets received cases with a metal top cover. Large deflectors are installed on the rear and side ends for the most efficient cooling components. The keyboard has built-in RGB lighting in four different zones.
Both models are equipped with an IPS matrix with diagonals of 16 and 18 inches with an aspect ratio of 16:10. The resolution is 2560×1600 pixels. The refresh rate is 165 or 240 Hz depending on the configuration, the response time is only 3 ms. The manufacturer claims 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 space.
The displays occupy almost 90% of the inner surface of the lid, and their brightness reaches 500 nits. It also supports DTS:X Ultra technology for surround sound.
Top versions of laptops run on 14th generation Intel Core i9-14900HX processors with 24 cores and 32 threads and a frequency of up to 5.8 GHz. There are also schemes with Intel Core i7-14700HX.
Depending on the configuration, 16 or 32 GB DDR5 RAM with a bandwidth of 5600 MT/s is provided. Built-in RAID0 memory capacity is 1 or 2 TB.
Users have access to three additional graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050, 4060 or 4070.
In addition, the new products are equipped with devices based on artificial intelligence:
• Cleaned Voice 2.0 to filter conversation noise in remote and outgoing audio streams. Using a system of three microphones with different directions and AI algorithms, gamer’s voices are highlighted, and background sounds are muffled.
