Starting with iOS 16 and newer versions, Apple allows you to launch any voice assistant instead of Siri.

I won’t judge; almost everyone who uses it not only to start a timer has complained about the assistant function in the iPhone.

In case of serious restrictions, an additional developer must add such a feature himself. Fortunately, Yandex has long been helpful.

I’ll tell you how to quickly put Alice instead of Siri.

Preparation. Check one item in Settings

You will need any iPhone with iOS 16 or later installed. In previous versions of the system the function does not work.

It’s unlikely you’ll need to change anything further, but I’ll warn you just in case.

You should have Siri in English. And to activate Alice without hands, The “Hey Siri” feature should work.

To do this in Settings -> Siri and Search -> Language -> select Russian. Make sure that in the section Siri and Search first glass with Listen to “Hey Siri” included.

How to change Siri to Alice in iOS

There will be only three steps. You don’t have to maintain and set up a quick command, and nothing complicated at all. Literally a couple of buttons.

1. Install and install the Yandex with Alice application from the App Store at least once if you do not have it. Or update it to the latest version.

2. Call Siri and say: “Call Alice”.

3. iOS prompts you to add “Enable Siri command for Yandex”. Click “Turn on”.

Ready! Now Alice can be translated into phrases:

  • Call Alice
  • Run Alice
  • Call Yandex
  • Launch Yandex.
  • The most important thing is that the assistant turns on instantly and you can immediately say your request. Yes, the phrase “hey Siri, launch Alice” is long, but it’s the best way to communicate on your iPhone with a truly smart voice assistant.
