The idea of building an electric hybrid of a motorcycle and a bicycle is not new and is constantly being implemented with varying degrees of success. The young company C3STROM from the USA offered their vision of an electric bicycle in a moto design. On the indiegogo.com site, this project received good support.
C3STROM ASTRO, unlike the electric motorcycle, is still equipped with pedals and chain drive. But unlike a bicycle, it doesn’t have a height-adjustable saddle and is quite heavy (43kg), although it’s built on an aluminum frame. 20×4.25″ wheels provide a comfortable ride on any road surface.
The ASTRO electric drive on the rear wheel is a Bafang geared motor with a power of 750 W (80 Nm). The battery is installed depending on the version at 740 or 1080 Wh in 21700 Samsung cells.

Price for project backers: $1799 USD for the basic version and $1999 for the Pro with extended battery capacity. Shipment to customers is scheduled for September 2022. The manufacturer gives a one-year warranty for ASTRO.
