You don’t get much out of the box with the Pixel 8a. The smartphone comes with only a cable and documentation.

The design of the new product is recognizable. The back panel is made of matte plastic, while the phone itself is small. But a wide bezel screen spoils everything.

Even though the sensor on the Pixel 8a is no longer new, photos taken with the main camera turn out good. Even compared to rivals like the A55.

Pixel 8a also has IP67 water protection, eSIM support, fast Wi-Fi 6e, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. The screen is good: with 2000 nits of brightness, there are no problems with viewing angles. True, the new product also has a fairly powerful PWM.

Everything works very smoothly and quickly. The smartphone only supports charging at 18W, but battery life is good enough for a Pixel: 6 hours of screen time.

The speakers on the Pixel 8a are stereo. They are loud and have the same sound. At the same time, the mids and highs are a bit lacking.

The new product has various features related to artificial intelligence. But the function of removing objects from photos works very poorly.

Pixel 8a’s main camera has a resolution of 64 MP and its ultra-wide camera has a resolution of 13 MP. You can record video at a maximum speed of 4K 60 fps, but only on the main module – shirik only supports 4K 30 fps. You also can’t switch between lenses while shooting video.

Google Pixel 8a is more powerful than Samsung A55 and Realme 12 Pro Plus in the same price range. Also, the battery life and performance of version 8a are good, but the frames and the difference between Pixel 8a and the flagship Pixel 8 are about 5 thousand rubles.
