AvtoVAZ presented two new cars at SPIEF: the Lada Iskra and the electric Lada Niva Tavel.

Lada Iskra is a B-class sedan, which in the family of manufacturers will occupy a place between Granta and Vesta.

The car will go into production in 2025. It will be available with 90 hp engines. and 106 hp, which will be paired with a manual transmission or CVT. The price has not been disclosed.

Also at the forum they brought a prototype of the electric Lada Niva Tavel. It is driven by a 60 kW electric motor with a peak power of 120 kW. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.6 seconds, with a top speed of 150 km/h.

The electric car is powered by 34 kWh batteries, which are enough for 175 km. Charging from a regular outlet takes 12 hours.

The electric version differs from the regular Lada Niva Tavel by a new bumper and headlights. Serial production of the electric vehicle is not yet planned. [Autonews]
