The “Vkusno – period” chain will become the new flagship of healthy eating in Russia, said the head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova. According to the head of the regulator, the day McDonald’s left the country, “there was no happier person” than her.

Popova, speaking at SPIEF, was satisfied with the American chain’s decision to abandon the Russian market.
“There was probably no happier person when the old company [ McDonald’s] let me. Because, my God, finally forgive me,” Popova said, quoted by RBC.
Now, notes the head of the department, Rospotrebnadzor is working together with “Tasty – dot” to change the network policy. Popova wants customers at the company’s establishments to receive “the healthiest and most nutritious nutrition possible.”
McDonald’s stopped serving customers in Russia in March 2022 due to the outbreak of hostilities. The Russian business was later bought by one of the franchisees, Alexander Govor, who launched the chain under the new brand “Vkusno – to the point”.
Today, the restaurant chain’s menu almost completely repeats the items that were at McDonald’s. The main assortment is hamburgers.
The day before, Oleg Paroev, general director of Vkusno, spoke about plans to add halal meat dishes to the menu. In 2025, the network aims to start working in the North Caucasus republics with a predominantly Muslim population.
