To protect your anonymity, DuckDuckGo masks your IP address when AI models communicate on your behalf. While AI “vendors” can temporarily store conversations, DuckDuckGo protects users by removing all metadata, including IP addresses, before sending requests. In addition, agreements were made to delete recorded chats within 30 days and to ban their use in educational models.
Available through Duck. ai or DuckDuckGo search engine, the feature offers access to models such as ChatGPT. This feature is currently free with a daily request limit, but DuckDuckGo hints at possible paid plans with advanced features.
