“Currently, we have expanded the network to approximately 2,500 partner locations. Russian Post plans to expand it to 5,000 collection points by the end of 2024,” a representative of the press service informed RB.RU. Thus, by the end of this year the company hopes to double its network.
Russian Post is developing its own project of associated delivery points starting from the end of 2022. The format assumes that collection points of various markets, retail stores and points of sale located more than 500 m from the post office can accept packages for subsequent transfer to Pochta for delivery.
The postal operator also issues orders placed in the markets of its branches. Thus, in the summer of 2023, Post announced the opening of about 9,000 Yandex Market collection points in its branches.
“In the first stage we connected about 200 points and now we have multiplied their number by 1.5. During 2024, we plan to increase the number of Yandex Market points in branches to 600, including in large cities,” added the representative of the Post Office.
Furthermore, according to his words, it is currently possible to receive orders placed on Ozon and AliExpress at all Post offices.
