The share of private investors in IPOs of Russian companies in 2024 fell to 55% from 73% a year earlier. This is stated in the review of financial risks of the Bank of Russia.

From 30% to 60% of investments in the IPO were made by individuals, purchasing shares worth up to 500 thousand rubles, the Central Bank noted. The regulator emphasized that a significant amount of shares are purchased by retail investors who may not have the necessary experience, leading to price distortion.

In 2024, Diasoft, Delimobil, Kristall, Europlan, Zaimer and MTS Bank held IPOs on the Moscow Stock Exchange.
