On Thursday, sessions on the foreign exchange market and the precious metals market begin at 09:50. The postponement will also affect trading on the derivatives market of the Moscow Exchange with settlements in currencies other than the US dollar, euro and Hong Kong dollar.

Previously, the Moscow Exchange and its group’s National Clearing Center (NCC) were subject to US blocking sanctions. The site subsequently announced the suspension of trading in US dollars and euros, as well as instruments with settlement in these currencies in the securities, money and standardized derivatives (SDFI) markets as of June 13.

The regulator later explained that Russian individuals and legal entities will continue to be able to buy and sell US dollars and euros through a bank, and the Central Bank will determine official exchange rates against the ruble from other sources.
