Initially, Samsung intended to equip the S25 series with a facial recognition module similar to Face ID, but according to an insider, the company had problems financing the project.

As mentioned, there is no need for additional sensors for PolarID. The biometric system will work through the smartphone’s selfie camera. Unlike Face ID, this technology on the iPhone works based on an infrared dot projector that creates a three-dimensional model of the face.
