Rostelecom will launch the Consol venture fund with a volume of 8 billion rubles in 2024. In the expansion stage it will invest in Russian software developers, according to Kommersant.

Priority areas are systems software, cloud and server solutions, services for business management, as well as AI and Internet of Things platforms.
Rostelecom sees the co-investors as “a large company interested in the development and implementation of Russian IT solutions.”
Previously, electronics manufacturer GS Group announced plans to invest approximately 1.5 billion rubles in promising startups. At the same time, experts are sure that the emergence of new large investors is unlikely to allow the market to recover to the level of 2021.
