The Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, signed a decree to provide the FSB with 24-hour access to taxi order databases. The document enters into force on September 1. The corresponding document was published on July 7 on the official legal information Internet portal on Friday.
For other information, the Federal Security Service can generate a request, to which the aggregator must respond within 10 business days. For urgent requests, within three days.
If the service cannot comply with the request on time, it must notify the required deadlines, as well as justify the reason for the delay.
Also, when working with the FSB, the ordering service, the operator must ensure the non-disclosure of information about the specific facts and content of such interaction.
- The draft law “On the organization of transportation of passengers and luggage in passenger taxis” was submitted in May 2022 to the State Duma of the Russian Federation. In December, parliamentarians approved the law in third reading. According to the document, the technical means necessary for processing orders and databases must be located on the territory of Russia.
