Samsung has launched a new sneaker that can control your mobile phone. The new shoe, called “Shortcut Sneakers”, interprets the movements of your foot and performs certain actions on your mobile phone.

Kısayol Sneakers, launched by Samsung as the “sneakers of the future”, were developed in cooperation with the brands Cheil Benelux, Elitac Wearables, Brut Amsterdam and Roel van Hoff. The piece features an eye-catching design with different textures across the body and shiny details that reference the night sky, possibly referencing the Galaxy family of mobile phones.

The new sneakers are equipped with sensors that monitor the position and movement of the feet. With them, The user can configure up to five different shortcuts for gestures, It offers various possibilities to facilitate the use of the phone. You can also make or answer calls, control music or other basic operations.

“If Samsung makes a sneaker, we owe it to our stand to add innovation to it. In any case, Roel van Hoff’s design makes it a special sneaker, but together with this technology we have managed to create something that the loyal Samsung community will love,” said the creative directors of Cheil Benelux.

Special and limited product

However, Samsung’s new Shortcut Sneakers will not be sold to the public. The new accessories will only be available to consumers who sign up for Samsung Members in the Netherlands, and only six pairs will be given away; So it’s almost like a collector’s item.

The models will not be sold separately, but will be raffled off among fans, making the search even more intense. Anyone interested can sign up on the Samsung Members app by July 9 this year, and the winners will be announced in the second week of the same month.
