With the help of biometrics, Russians will be able to obtain or change a driver’s license, register a vehicle, apply for a state pension, apply for a divorce, as well as apply for child benefits or a building permit. More importantly, biometrics will be offered as an additional service option alongside traditional methods such as passport procurement. Each citizen will be able to choose which method is more suitable for him.
The first region where biometric services will begin is expected to be the Chelyabinsk region.
