The Japanese hypercar Aspark Owl SP600 broke the world speed record, accelerating to 438.7 km/h at a test site in Germany.
This is 28.7 km/h faster than the record holder Rimac Nevers, who accelerates to 412 km/h.
Aspark was founded in 2005 and developed the Owl SP600 over a period of 10 years. It is combined with original electric motors, with a total output of 1953 hp and torque of 1920 Nm.
The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.89 seconds. One charge is enough for 400 km.
Aspark Owl was introduced in 2019. Its production began in 2020. The company plans to produce 50 cars. One car costs 2.5 million euros or 237 million rubles. [New Atlas]
