Today, AI is mistakenly seen as a magic solution to almost every problem. Companies of all sizes are investing, and the demand for AI experts has never been higher. But amidst all the hype, can we really say that there are experts in artificial intelligence or that professionals in related fields are just surfing the wave?

At first, Research in artificial intelligence has been going on for decades. I can even talk about the progress of the big names in the industry:

• Alan Turing, considered the father of computer science, devoted his life to revealing the secrets of the human mind and creating intelligent machines;
• J.Another giant, Ohn McCarthy, was responsible for coining the term “artificial intelligence” in the 1950s and founded the world’s first artificial intelligence department at MIT;
• Marvin Minsky, a pioneer of artificial neural networks research, was a leading proponent of the idea that artificial intelligence could one day surpass human intelligence.

These are just a few of the people who devoted their lives to the research and development of this technology. Their passion, combined with their intellectual capacity and scientific rigor, placed them in the pantheon of true experts.

They were researchers who deeply understood the fundamental principles of computer science and made significant contributions to the evolution of artificial intelligence to the level we have today.

But we don’t just live in the past! It is clear that today we have highly qualified professionals experienced in the latest technologies, with specialized knowledge in areas such as computer vision, robotics, data analysis, among other subjects.

These experts play a crucial role in the development and application of artificial intelligence in practical contexts. However, due to the constantly evolving nature of artificial intelligence, no individual can claim complete dominance in this field.. New algorithms, techniques and applications emerge every day, requiring constant updating and continuous learning.

Moreover, the interdisciplinarity of this branch of technology means that expertise in other fields such as mathematics, statistics, neuroscience and even psychology can be fundamental to understanding and effectively applying AI principles in different contexts. It is important to understand that this is not a quick fix, but a complex and constantly evolving field that requires us to have in-depth knowledge and the ability to sustain research and scientific advances.

You need to be very wary of self-righteous “AI experts” and fake gurus who sell the technology as a miraculous new solution.

True experts have a variety of skills that can collaborate and adapt to rapid changes in the field. Dealing with AI is a continuous learning journey, and everyone involved is constantly expanding their horizons. – exploring new frontiers.

As artificial intelligence continues to evolve and enter more and more into our daily lives, the importance of true experts becomes even more evident. They are the ones who push boundaries, solve complex problems and ensure it is developed ethically and responsibly.

We must invest in quality education, encourage advanced research and, above all, recognize the genuine contributions of scientists in this field. These are necessary steps to ensure that the future of AI continues to advance in ways that benefit society.
