Apple faces a number of “very serious” challenges in complying with the Digital Markets Act in Europe, EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager said.

The official does not give a specific example. But the European Commission is already wrapping up an investigation in which Apple is said to have complied with the law. Vestager said the results of the investigation would be published soon.

If Apple is found to have violated the law, it could be fined $1 billion.
