Anthropic has released a powerful AI model, Claude 3.5 Sonnet. This neural network can match or even surpass the capabilities of OpenAI’s GPT-4o and Google’s Gemini. In addition, from the developers’ point of view, the updated version is five times cheaper, Reuters notes.

The developers claim that Claude 3.5 Sonnet will be much better at writing and translating code, handling multi-step workflows, interpreting charts and graphs, and transcribing text from images. The new neural network is now standard for the Claude chatbot and is available to both paid and free users.
The startup Anthropic is one of the most popular in the field of artificial intelligence. It was founded by former OpenAI employees. Over the past year, the company raised around $7.3 billion. In March 2024, Anthropic launched Claude 3, which consists of three models: Opus, Sonnet and Haiku.
